Supply Chain Steering Committee

| Volunteer Status: Open

The Supply Chain Steering Committee (SCSC) is comprised of automotive OEMs, parts suppliers and service providers which collectively brings a broad overview of industry needs in materials management. They provide an oversight for the prioritization, selection, development and deployment of initiatives designed to strengthen the automotive industry supply chain. The SCSC is chartered to drive awareness and implementation of industry best practices.  We welcome participation by new member OEMs and Tier 1 Suppliers. For more information, click here.

EV Battery Transportation & Handling Work Group

| Volunteer Status: Open

This workgroup, made up of OEMs, service providers and battery manufacturers, are working collaboratively to establish best practice guidelines for the handling, transportation, and warehousing of EV batteries. Striving to mitigate risk and thermal incidents while reducing costs and reactionary expenditures through Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs), guidelines, industry developed training, and more. For more information, click here.

CTPAT/AEO Supply Chain Security Management Work Group

| Volunteer Status: Open

This work group collaborates to meet the security requirements set forth by CTPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) and AEO (Authorized Economic Operator). This OPEN program ensures alignment with the most up-to-date security criteria mandated by U.S. Customs & Border Protection. Recognizing the importance of supply chain security within the industry, you prioritize meeting the Minimum-Security Requirements defined by CBP.  AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) plays a pivotal role by having developed a standardized system of Risk Assessments tailored to different industry types. These assessments guide corrective actions for compliance. The project extends its reach to new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and supplier importers, fostering collaboration across the automotive supply chain. For more information, click here.

Global Materials Management Operations Guidelines (MMOG/LE) Work Group

| Volunteer Status: Open

This group jointly manages the global standard, developed by AIAG and Odette, that assesses an organization’s materials management capabilities by implementing tools to assist with the implementation activities for MMOG/LE.  The OEMs, suppliers and service providers actively engaged in this group have recently developed and launched version 5 of the assessment on a cloud-based platform.  New member OEMs and suppliers are welcome to join this group. USMCA Work Group

| Volunteer Status: Open

AIAG’s USMCA workgroup was formed to focus on enabling industry collaboration to identify synergies in the standardization of roles, responsibilities, and clear understanding of the new automotive rules applicable to the USMCA Free Trade Agreement which affects billions of dollars' worth of interregional trade within NAFTA.  This group welcomes new member OEM and Tier 1 supplier volunteers only at this time.  For more information, click here.

Electric Vehicle Tariff Classifications (EVTC) Work Group

The Electric Vehicle Tariff Classifications working group is a subset of the USMCA group. Made up of cross functional stakeholders from global mobility manufacturers, part suppliers, and international supply chain service providers, the group’s goal is to collaborate through informal open discussion to resolve controversy on the most appropriate classification of electric vehicle parts and accessories. Working collectively to create an industry reference tool that will support in removing ambiguity from classification decisions. This clarity in classification will improve compliance and assist in making more reasoned business decisions.

Damage Claims Work Group

| Volunteer Status: Closed

This work group is comprised of OEM representatives, their transportation partners (rail, truck, port processors, terminal managers, inspection companies & ocean carriers), and service providers (inspection companies and 3pl’s). The group works to refine processes of inspecting finished vehicles as they move through the supply chain until final delivery at the dealer.   The AIAG M-22 (Finished Vehicle Damage Claims Process/Standards) document is written and updated annually by the group and provides the ongoing changes to the accepted vehicle damage inspection and reporting processes and damage severity, location, and type codes.
