The Bar Steel Work Group is developing a guidance document based on best practices that will streamline bar steel management processes to improve quality, and deliver robust products that meet industry and customer-specific requirements. The document will include guidance and best practices for managing defect detection, prevention, reaction, and process control and monitoring.
A common assessment will promote a streamlined approach when reacting to uncontrolled events, and help expedite and guide supplier selection with sourcing changes due to lack of materials or other supply chain issues.
