Molding | CQI-23

Developed in collaboration with industry experts from OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and molding suppliers, the CQI-23 Special Process: Molding System Assessment – now in its second edition – provides a common approach to a plastic molding management system for automotive production and service part organizations.

Including guidelines for Process Control and Testing Equipment, along with Part Inspection and Testing, the CQI-23 Molding System Assessment is applicable to the following processes used in the production of automotive components:

  • Injection Molding
  • Blow Molding
  • Vacuum Forming
  • Compression Molding (SMC)
  • Resin Transfer Molding (RTM)
  • Extrusion

This assessment will boost users’ confidence that their processes are the most consistent they can be, and therefore, their quality remains as high as possible for the products being manufactured.
